Back From Fishing
I'm back, for now. Here's some Blackawks updates.
Happy Monday, all.
Or Tuesday, which it will most likely be when you’re reading this.
I took a smallish break from writing, returned a few weeks ago, and thought I’d check up on the ol’ Substack. If you’re here for Hawks news, I got you covered in the link below. I recapped the Blackhawks previous week and looked ahead at what’s in store this week.
Blackhawks On Tap: Three Straight Wins Keep Blackhawks in a Wide-Open West
The Hawks are on a three-game win streak and two-points out of a playoff spot. Is Bedard or Nazar back? Nope. And I’m not going to pretend that there’s anything worth watching until then. You can read more about that in the link above.
Substack Updates
I guess for this segment of Substacking (until I get tired or bored, or busy with real life again), I’ll be doing more or less the same thing as I did before. I’ll email you links to my written work over at On Tap Sports Net. You might get an unhinged article or two.
Here’s the thing. I love writing. I really do. I also love writing about a bad hockey team. There is probably something seriously wrong with me, and that’s okay.
Substack can be fun when there’s engagement. And look, I hate engagement farming. I hate clickbait bullshit. So, I won’t stoop down to that. However, I do ask that if you’re reading this (and enjoying it), please let me know. It’s always nice when it feels like I’m writing to people who care. If I see people engage with this stuff, it makes me want to continue. And that’s specific to Substack (what you’re reading here).
I won’t be doing podcasts, at least not for now. Maybe when more of my free time opens up. But if there are interested people, I might change things up. I could do videos, polls about the Hawks, and other silly things Substack has available here.
Until then, I’ll be posting here for a bit. Just don’t be afraid to drop a hello.
