Blackhawks Take On Flaming Hot Garbage
Newsletter. New format. Same stupid takes.
Alright, folks, we’re changing the newsletter format around here.
Going to try this for a bit. Trying to knock out multiple posts a day was getting a little… crazy. Going to treat posts and emails one and the same. See how that goes. There’s like three readers here anyway, and one of them is me.
First, articles that I wrote.

Blackhawks Notes: Soderblom Starts, Kantserov Dominates KHL
Blackhawks Place Nick Foligno on IR With Hand Injury
The Blackhawks host the Calgary Flames tonight. First link has updates for the Hawks and news around the NHL. This will be an excellent chance for the Blackhawks to continue collecting points. The Flames are one of the worst teams in the NHL right now. Scratch that. They are dead last with 13 points and are 3-5-2 in their last 10.
Arvid Soderblom is in net, the Hawks are missing Tyler Bertuzzi, Nick Foligno, and Jason Dickinson, but there’s no excuse for Chicago to stuff Calgary’s face further into the Gavin McKenna sweepstakes.
Puck drop is 7:30 pm CT.

Helmand Valley Archive
For those who know, my other completely non-hockey page, Helmand Valley Archive, has taken a big step this week thanks to some very generous Marines from 2/1. We’re covering their 2010 deployment to Afghanistan, and recently posted a history of their unit. Over on the Instagram page, we’re sharing photos Marines took on that deployment.
Canadiens
Montreal dropped another game, this one in OT against the Columbus Blue Jackets. There’s no way Alex Newhook’s absence is hurting this team that badly… right? It’s only a goalie problem… right? Oh well.
Anything Else?
Also, I may or may not harass you with artwork. Just like I already harass you with stories about getting blown up by IEDs and a hockey team from Montreal… on a Blackhawks blog.
