Don’t care about why I’m using Substack again? Just want to see what I’m planning on doing with this horribly indecisive beast? I’ll spare you the dull details and get right to the point. I need a reliable email list for my blog, stuckonpost.com.
There’s hockey to watch and your time is important.
What’s new around here?
Weekly Hawks updates.
All game recaps and anything else will be on my blog, which is where I’ve been posting. I promise I’ll try my hardest to keep this Blackhawks focused. I won’t talk about music or skateboarding here.
I promise.
Also, I say weekly but don’t hold me to it. I’ll try my best.
This will remain free.
But I will be adding an optional subscription.
Let me explain.
I’m not here to blow smoke up your ass and ask you to pay me money for my below-average writing about my below-average understanding of hockey. Trust me when I say that your money is better spent elsewhere.
I’m pretty sure Substack’s algorithm “punishes” free newsletters and I’ve been pretty anti-subscription from the beginning. So, that optional subscription will be there, but it won’t paywall weekly Hawks stuff.
What I will say is this, and I’ll be upfront. Recently, good things happened regarding my writing (partially why I’m here again), and if there are people who are willing to pay to read my more detailed stuff, I might make a subscription.
IF that were to ever happen, it would have to be well worth it. I won’t paywall something that I wouldn’t pay for.
That’s it?
Yep.
I’ll announce the good news once that’s been finalized. Otherwise, check out my blog, stuckonpost.com. You might hear from me again tomorrow.
Let’s Go Hawks.
And please. If you have any suggestions, let me know.
