Game Day: Utah Hockey Club at Chicago Blackhawks Mar. 7 @ 7:30 pm CT
The Blackhawks look to avenge their embarrassing loss to Utah on Feb. 25.
Happy trade deadline day.
A lot of Blackhawks fans are going to be pissed because Ryan Donato was not traded. It was a seller’s market and Donato had high value this year. I won’t share my thoughts on Davidson’s moves just yet, but Ron Luce over at On Tap Sports covered each of the day’s trades. I’m linking all of them below:
Blackhawks Acquire Shea Weber's Contract, 2 Prospects from Utah
Blackhawks Do NOT Trade Ryan Donato, Pat Maroon Ahead of NHL Trade Deadline
Blackhawks Acquire Joe Veleno from Red Wings, Send Mrazek, Smith to Detroit
In the meantime, the Hawks play hockey tonight. You can read the game preview in the link provided.
How to Watch Blackhawks vs. Utah Hockey Club: Live Stream, TV Channel, Start Time, Preview
Tonight, the Chicago Blackhawks host the Utah Hockey Club (horrible name) as the franchise makes its first visit to the Windy City. Puck drop is at 7:30 pm CT. Ryan Donato is still a Blackhawk and Craig Smith and Petr Mrazek were traded to the Detroit Red Wings. Chicago and Utah made a trade, although none of those players will be in tonight's lineup…
What I’m Watching Tonight:
Alex Vlasic’s Recent Struggles – Earlier this season, he looked rock-solid. Lately, though, his positioning has been shaky, and he’s not the same player.
Utah’s OZP – The last time these two met, the Blackhawks were dominated by a team they should have no issue beating. You can watch a clip of Utah’s 2-3 OZP keeping the Blackhawks in their zone for far too long.
As a reminder, there’s no more Game Day Threads (unless majority rules). But I do have a poll. Bedard is on a seven-game point streak, you have to think it ends soon, right?
Let’s Go Hawks.
